Book Club Questions for Burnt Siena:

1. How does Flora's professional training make her a good amateur detective?

2. How does she grow and change over the course of the novel?

3. What did you learn about antiquities smuggling? Art forgery?

4. If an art forgery is so good it can fool experts, should it be displayed as a work of art in its own right? (n.b. the Greek statue story is based on the true case of the Getty Kouros. Experts are still divided on whether the statue is authentic or a forgery, but the J. Paul Getty Museum decided to display it, with all the research, for the public to decide).
